Old QUICK conversion contract closes
⚠ The date is not confirmed yet and may change.
The QuickSwap DAO's roadmap points to February 5, 2027 as the day the Old QUICK to New QUICK conversion contract stops accepting old tokens. The date is tentative: it follows from the DAO's six-month plan and press coverage, not from an official announcement by QuickSwap.
What is happening
On August 4, 2026, a Snapshot vote ended with 95.9 percent in favour of closing the Old QUICK conversion process: about 10.12 million voting weights backed closing it, against about 430,000 for keeping it open. The alternative on the ballot was leaving the conversion open indefinitely. The agreed route is a six-month roadmap, after which the contract no longer accepts old tokens.
The conversion ratio falls in steps. It stays at 1:1,000 for the first three months, then drops to 1:750 in the fourth month, 1:500 in the fifth and 1:250 in the sixth. The proposal counts in months and names no calendar dates. Crypto Briefing converted the roadmap into dates: November 4, 2026 as the end of the full ratio, December 5, 2026 for 1:500, January 5, 2027 for 1:250 and February 5, 2027 as the contract's close. QuickSwap's own conversion page still names no deadline, so these dates are well founded but not officially confirmed.
A second vote is expected afterwards. It is to decide what happens to the New QUICK that the DAO has kept reserved to back the conversion. Burning it, moving it to the treasury or putting forward another proposal are listed as possible routes, and none has been chosen. Around 84,105 Old QUICK remain unconverted, and over 91 percent of the original supply has already been swapped.
Why it matters
For holders of Old QUICK, the cost of waiting is a fixed, one-way reduction. By the time the ratio reaches 1:250, a holding converts into a quarter of the New QUICK it would have received at the full ratio, and the contract does not return to a higher rate. Holders of 2021 and 2022 tokens in self-custodied wallets, liquidity positions or the old Dragon's Lair staking contract are the group affected, and some may be unaware of the deadline.
For the project, ending the process removes the need to keep a matching amount of New QUICK permanently reserved, which clarifies the calculation of maximum supply. The later decision on the reserved tokens could affect circulating supply if a burn is chosen, but that outcome is undecided. Traders should also keep the two token versions apart: the conversion deadline concerns Old QUICK only, while the separate Binance delisting concerns New QUICK.
