TUM Blockchain Conference 26
The fourth edition of the TUM Blockchain Conference, organized by the TUM Blockchain Club, runs from October 29 to 31, 2026, in Munich, Germany. It is billed as Germany's largest student-run blockchain conference and is not tied to any single coin.
What is happening
The event takes place at the House of Communication in Munich over three days. October 29 is the main conference day, with three parallel stages named Nakamoto, Turing and Hopper. October 30 is the Digital Assets Day, held together with the Bundesblock. A Blockchain and AI hackathon runs about 30 hours across October 30 and 31, with more than €4,000 in prizes. The hackathon is open to all experience levels and requires a separate registration.
The organizer has announced 113 speakers so far, with more expected. The previous edition drew over 1,200 attendees and 125 speakers. Announced names include representatives of Deutsche Börse Group's Crypto Finance, Union Investment, the Bundesbank, AllUnity, Siemens and Bosch. Protocol and infrastructure voices include Parity, the Cardano Foundation, the Stellar Development Foundation, Solana Germany and Bybit, and research is represented by Vadim Lyubashevsky of IBM Research Europe.
Session topics mentioned in the program include zero-knowledge proofs, the AI agent economy, the digital euro and stablecoin rails, and a regulation panel covering MiCA 2.0, DAC8 and DORA. On October 29 at 1:35 p.m., Qubic co-founder and CTO Roman Thommen gives a keynote on useful proof of work in production on the Hopper stage. Tickets are sold through Luma in General Admission, VIP, Self-funded and Student categories; one ticket covers all three days, and early bird sales have ended.
Why it matters
The conference brings together researchers, protocol teams and traditional finance and central bank representatives in one place. For market participants, the regulation and digital-asset sessions are a way to hear how institutions and policymakers in Europe frame topics such as MiCA, tax reporting and stablecoin infrastructure.
For projects, a stage like this offers visibility with a European audience. Qubic, for example, uses its keynote to present production figures rather than a roadmap. Any announcements made on stage are worth checking against the projects' own official channels. The event does not by itself imply any token-specific development.
