Korea Fintech Week 2026
Korea Fintech Week 2026, organized by South Korea's Financial Services Commission, runs from October 25 to 27, 2026 at the aT Center in Seoul's Yangjae district. The event is held under the theme "Beyond Finance, Into the Future," and no specific coins are tied to it.
What is happening
Korea Fintech Week is an annual fintech event led by the Financial Services Commission. According to Koscom, which announced its participation on October 13, this year's edition takes place at the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul.
Koscom plans to present a shared platform for tokenized securities, designed to help securities firms enter the tokenized securities business. The platform is described as integrated infrastructure supporting issuance, account management and links with external systems, and it connects existing brokerage ledger systems with blockchain-based distributed ledgers to reduce the cost of building separate systems. Koscom has signed memorandums of understanding with 13 securities firms, completed work with LG CNS on tokenized securities issuance infrastructure, and finished a total-volume management test-bed demonstration with Korea Securities Depository. It intends to share the progress and results of these projects at the exhibition.
Financial AI services are the second focus. Koscom will show analyses that combine its stock, derivatives and bond market data with AI technology, and will unveil K-EFS, a domestic stock prediction score service launched jointly with LG AI Research. The company will also introduce its fintech support programs: a financial cloud program that selects 60 firms a year and provides cloud vouchers, and the D-Testbed program, which supports 30 companies a year with data analysis and simulated testing environments. Consultations on both programs will be offered on site.
Why it matters
The event offers a look at how tokenized securities infrastructure is developing within South Korea's regulated capital market. Koscom's platform, its agreements with 13 securities firms and the completed test-bed work indicate how traditional brokerage systems may be linked to blockchain-based ledgers. For observers of tokenization, this is a practical indicator of institutional progress rather than a token-specific development.
For holders and traders of crypto assets, the direct impact is limited, since no coins are linked to the event and its importance is modest. It may still be useful for following the direction of Korean regulators and market infrastructure providers on tokenization and AI-driven financial services. Statements and demonstrations during the three days are the main things to watch, including any progress updates on the tokenized securities projects and details on the K-EFS service.
