On October 9, Hashi announced that its mainnet would go live in stages beginning this October. Alongside the launch timing, Hashi announced a partnership with Anchorage Digital, described as America's first federally chartered crypto bank. Through this partnership, the project has secured $500 million in committed funding support. This adds to backing from more than 20 institutions at the project's inception, and Hashi's partner network now spans custody, liquidity, auditing, insurance and applications.
Earlier, in July, Hashi obtained a legal opinion from the U.S. law firm Fenwick West. The opinion concluded that deposit and redeem activities do not constitute taxable events, which gives institutions a degree of regulatory clarity.
