Mainnet Launch Bitcoin

Hashi Bitcoin finance platform mainnet phased rollout

TBA October 2026, date TBC
Online Location
SUI · BTC Hashi (Sui ecosystem)

Hashi, the Bitcoin finance platform in the Sui ecosystem, is rolling out its mainnet in phases starting in October 2026. The exact day within the month has not been specified, and the rollout involves SUI and BTC.

What is happening

On October 9, Hashi announced that its mainnet would go live in stages beginning this October. The announcement came shortly after Sui Basecamp 2026, held in Singapore on October 7-8, where the Sui ecosystem presented a range of developments. Since the rollout is phased, individual features and access levels may be enabled gradually rather than all at once.

Alongside the launch timing, Hashi announced a partnership with Anchorage Digital, described as America's first federally chartered crypto bank. Through this partnership, the project has secured $500 million in committed funding support. This adds to backing from more than 20 institutions at the project's inception, and Hashi's partner network now spans custody, liquidity, auditing, insurance and applications.

Earlier, in July, Hashi obtained a legal opinion from the U.S. law firm Fenwick West. The opinion concluded that deposit and redeem activities do not constitute taxable events, which gives institutions a degree of regulatory clarity.

Why it matters

Hashi is positioned as the Bitcoin finance layer of the Sui ecosystem, aiming to expand the range of assets, including BTC, that can take part in on-chain financial activity on Sui. For SUI holders, a working mainnet backed by institutional commitments is a concrete test of whether the ecosystem can attract and retain real capital rather than only announcements.

For market participants, the key open question noted in the coverage is whether the mainnet's product experience and institutional participation will translate into retained funds and liquidity. The committed funding and the list of partners are indicators of intent; actual usage, deposits and liquidity after launch will show how far that intent converts into activity. This is not a forecast of price movements, only a description of what to monitor.
