The Clearing House tokenized deposit network with Quant availability

The Clearing House tokenized deposit network with Quant availability

Q1 2027 date TBC
Online Location
QNT The Clearing House / Quant

⚠ The date is not confirmed yet and may change.

The Clearing House has selected Quant as technology partner for a tokenized deposit network that is expected to become available to participating institutions in the first half of 2027. The exact date is not fixed and the timing remains tentative. The coin linked to the project is QNT.

What is happening

In late September 2026, The Clearing House, a settlement company owned by large US banks that carries a substantial share of American payment traffic, named Quant as technology partner for a network built around tokenized deposits. A tokenized deposit is commercial bank money recorded as an entry on a blockchain. It is not a separate coin but a claim against the issuing bank.

Quant is to supply the orchestration and transaction management layer. According to trade media reports cited in the source article, the project is not designed around a shared token. Instead, it aims at interoperability between the deposit platforms of individual banks. A second strand of the project, a dedicated layer-2 blockchain, has neither a provider nor a date so far.

The network is due to reach participating institutions in the first half of 2027. Because no specific day has been announced, the timing should be treated as an expectation rather than a confirmed launch date.

Why it matters

For Quant, the mandate is described as the most important event in the company's history. The firm sells Overledger, a software layer that lets banks settle payments across different blockchains. A role in infrastructure used by large US banks is a significant reference for that product. At the same time, the sources do not say how the work will translate into demand for the QNT token. Customers can pay the Overledger platform fee in US dollars or through a QNT subscription, and the company does not publish how much runs through each route.

For holders and traders, the news shows how closely QNT is tied to the banking mandates its parent company wins or loses. QNT traded at around $216 on October 13, 2026, with a market capitalization of roughly $3.1 billion. Supply is tight, with about 14.56 million tokens in circulation against a maximum of 14,612,493. A trade-fair demonstration or a partner selection is not yet live operation with real volumes, so the milestones that follow the selection are worth watching.
