GraniteShares 3x leveraged crypto ETFs effective date (XRP, BTC, ETH, SOL)
GraniteShares ETF Trust has set Nov. 30, 2026 as the new effective date for its lineup of 3x daily-reset leveraged ETFs tied to XRP, Bitcoin, Ether and Solana. The date was moved back through a Rule 485(b) post-effective amendment filed on Oct. 26.
What is happening
The trust submitted a post-effective amendment under Rule 485(b), a procedural mechanism that lets a fund issuer reset the date on which a registration update takes effect. The filing covers the GraniteShares 3x Long XRP Daily ETF and the 3x Short XRP Daily ETF, as well as comparable leveraged products tracking Bitcoin, Ether and Solana. William Rhind, president of GraniteShares ETF Trust, signed the document on the day it was filed.
The amendment states that its sole purpose is to delay the effectiveness of an earlier registration change until the new date. It gives no reason for the delay and does not mention market conditions, politics or the election calendar. The filing is not an SEC approval, denial or adjudicative order: the regulator has not blocked the products, and the issuer chose to defer its own timeline.
Because the date is set by the issuer rather than the regulator, the trust can file another amendment to push it back again, or let the current one take effect as scheduled. The new date falls roughly three weeks after the U.S. midterm elections on Nov. 3. Some observers have asked whether politics plays a role, but the official record does not support that reading.
Why it matters
If GraniteShares keeps to the schedule, the 3x Long and 3x Short XRP ETFs, along with the Bitcoin, Ether and Solana counterparts, could become active instruments before year-end, adding a new category of leveraged crypto products to the U.S. listed market. For traders, Nov. 30 is the next concrete date to follow for these funds.
Holders and prospective buyers should note that daily-reset leveraged products carry specific risks around compounding and decay. A 3x leveraged XRP fund would be expected to diverge substantially from three times XRP's performance over any period longer than a single trading session. Disclosure requirements for such products are a known source of delays for issuers, and the SEC has recently deferred decisions on other altcoin ETF proposals. Whether the November date holds, or a new procedural filing intervenes, will determine the near-term outlook. This is not financial advice.
