Visa fiscal Q4 2026 earnings
Visa is scheduled to report its fiscal fourth-quarter 2026 results on October 27, 2026. The release comes amid reports of a possible Fireblocks acquisition and growing stablecoin settlement activity on the Visa network. No specific coins are tied to the event.
What is happening
Visa will publish its fiscal Q4 results on October 27. The date is confirmed. The same day, SoFi is also due to report its third-quarter results.
Ahead of the report, Axios said on October 22, citing multiple sources, that Visa is in talks to buy Fireblocks for about $2.5 billion. Fireblocks told The Defiant the report was "news to us, and not true at present time." Visa told The Block it does not comment on rumors. No deal has been confirmed by either company. Fireblocks provides infrastructure that banks, exchanges and payment companies use to hold and move digital assets, and the reported price is below the $8 billion valuation of its 2022 funding round.
Visa has also been expanding its stablecoin activity. On September 8 it said its stablecoin settlement had passed an annualized run rate of $20 billion and that more than 160 stablecoin-linked card programs run on its network. On October 19, Mesh announced a plan with Visa to let consumers spend crypto and stablecoin balances from participating wallet apps at Visa's more than 175 million merchant locations; no launch date, wallets or markets have been named. By the source's own arithmetic, the $20 billion run rate is about 0.14% of Visa's $14.2 trillion in payments volume for fiscal 2025.
Why it matters
The earnings report is a scheduled checkpoint for how a major card network describes its stablecoin and digital-asset strategy. Holders of stablecoins and traders following payments-sector news may look for any commentary on settlement volume, the Mesh partnership or the Fireblocks reports, since the report is a possible venue for such comments. Whether Visa addresses the rumored acquisition on the call is uncertain.
The context is also regulatory. Commentary on the reported Fireblocks talks recalls Visa's abandoned $5.3 billion Plaid deal, which the Justice Department challenged in 2020, and the department's September 2024 lawsuit against Visa over debit. A deal in stablecoin infrastructure could draw similar scrutiny, though nothing has been announced.
