Robinhood Q3 2026 earnings release
⚠ The date is not confirmed yet and may change.
Robinhood is projected to report its third-quarter 2026 results after the market closes on October 27, 2026, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed. Investors in the crypto segment, with Bitcoin (BTC) as the main coin involved, will be watching whether crypto revenue rebounds from the previous quarter.
What is happening
Robinhood's crypto revenue fell 38% year over year to $100 million in Q2 2026, the third consecutive quarterly decline. It followed $221 million in Q4 2025 and $134 million in Q1 2026, and it compares with $268 million in Q3 2025, when crypto revenue rose more than 300%. In Q2, crypto made up just 7.6% of the company's $1.31 billion in total revenue.
Trading activity improved later in the quarter. According to the sources, crypto trading volume in August rose 61% to $17.5 billion, and late-September volume ran 25% above the August average. Analysts at BTIG described September's figures as pointing to a generally strong quarter. Full-quarter crypto volumes have not yet been published, so a direct comparison with Q2 is difficult.
Analysts expect earnings per share of $0.54, up from $0.46 three months earlier, and total revenue of about $1.41 billion. Other items to watch include event contracts, which generated $156 million in Q2 and exceeded crypto revenue that quarter, as well as equities revenue and the contribution of Trump Accounts, which reportedly drew over 7 million sign-ups and nearly $1.5 billion in deposits after their July 4 launch.
Why it matters
Robinhood earns its crypto revenue mainly from customer trades, so the figure reflects both retail activity and crypto prices. The report will show whether the stronger August-September volumes were enough to lift revenue above Q2's $100 million. Bitcoin is up 31.4% over the past 90 days but still trades about 21.8% below its level a year ago, which makes last year's $268 million a high comparison.
For holders and traders, the results offer a read on retail participation in crypto and on how much Robinhood now depends on other products. Management commentary on October trading activity, a month when Bitcoin began to show volatility, may draw particular attention. Historically, the shares have fallen on earnings day after each of the last four reports, even though three of them beat estimates.
