Money20/20 USA 2026

18–21 October 2026, Sun–Wed
Las Vegas, USA Location
USDC Money20/20

Money20/20 USA 2026 is a fintech conference held in Las Vegas from October 18 to October 21, 2026. Visa's Vira Platonova is scheduled to speak at several sessions on stablecoin-enabled money movement, with USDC at the center of the discussion.

What is happening

The conference runs four days in Las Vegas and is currently under way. According to the sources, Vira Platonova, Visa's Global Head of Visa Direct, is appearing at multiple Money20/20 USA sessions this week to discuss how stablecoins are being used to move money.

The topic follows a recent announcement. On October 15, 2026, Visa moved stablecoin prefunding into production on Visa Direct, with Inyo Global as the first processor to offer it to live clients. Businesses can now replenish their Visa Direct prefunding accounts in USDC at any hour, rather than waiting for bank wires that clear only during banking hours. Recipients still receive local currency; the stablecoin is used only on the funding side.

Inyo Global's platform reaches financial institutions and fintechs across more than 180 countries. Visa has not named the specific payment corridors or client segments included in the first commercial phase, and it is not yet clear how quickly the capability will extend to other Visa Direct processors.

Why it matters

For USDC holders and observers, the conference is a venue where a major card network explains how a dollar stablecoin is being used as live payment infrastructure rather than as an experiment. Visa's launch follows pilots run through 2025 and 2026, and its stablecoin-enabled settlement reached an annualized run rate of $20 billion as of September 2026, according to the sources.

For businesses running cross-border payouts, the key point is treasury efficiency: if prefunding can be topped up at any time, the buffer held in settlement networks can in principle be smaller. Traders and holders may want to follow the sessions for any new details on corridors, additional enablers or further partnerships, since these would show how widely stablecoin prefunding is being adopted. The event itself is a source of commentary and announcements, not a protocol change or token event.
