Interactive Brokers launches Ethereum staking via Zerohash

On October 13, 2026, Interactive Brokers launched crypto staking for eligible clients, starting with Ethereum (ETH). The staking services are provided by Zerohash.

What is happening

Interactive Brokers, which manages over $900 billion in client assets, has introduced crypto staking in partnership with Zerohash. The service lets eligible customers earn rewards on their crypto holdings. At launch, Ethereum is the only asset available for staking.

According to the company, eligible Interactive Brokers LLC clients can stake ETH through the Staking Dashboard in the IBKR Client Portal. There they can submit stake or unstake requests and monitor pending activity.

The launch follows earlier crypto steps by the broker. Earlier this year, Interactive Brokers introduced Bitcoin and Ethereum futures trading in partnership with Coinbase Derivatives, and it already supports trading in up to 20 crypto assets. CEO Milan Galik compared the new service to the Stock Yield Enhancement Program, which lets customers earn extra income on shares they own, adding that the firm wants clients to earn more from the assets they hold.

For holders, the launch adds a way to stake ETH inside a regulated brokerage account that also holds their other assets, rather than using a separate staking provider or self-custody setup.
