What is happening

According to the event page of the official TRUMP Coin Club, the 185 wallets with the largest time-weighted TRUMP balance are invited to dine at Trump National Golf Club Washington D.C. Despite its name, the club is located in Virginia on the bank of the Potomac, not in the capital. The first dinner was held at the same venue in May 2025, with 220 seats.

The top 29 holders are additionally invited to a VIP reception with the president and one of three announced but still unnamed celebrities, and they sit at the front during the meal. The top four receive a watch made of 18-carat gold. The Coin Club page states that there will be no private meetings with the president.

The scoring period runs from September 30 to November 12 and measures the average balance across the whole period, so holding for longer ranks higher. Only wallets registered with the Coin Club count, via an email address and a connected Solana wallet; coins on an exchange account are not included. The dinner requires a separate sign-up, including for existing members. Invitations are not transferable, identities may be verified, and gifts go only to guests who actually attend. Anyone whose balance drops below the cut-off level afterwards stays invited but can lose VIP benefits, while selling all coins removes a holder from every ranking. The organiser reserves the right to change, postpone or cancel the event.

Why it matters

For holders, the event creates a clear incentive to accumulate and keep TRUMP in a self-custodied Solana wallet during the scoring window. Because the ranking rewards balance over time, later buyers need considerably more coins than early holders to reach the same average.

For traders, the market reaction so far has been muted. After the first dinner was announced in April 2025, the price rose by roughly half within a day; this time no comparable move was reported. TRUMP traded around $1.89, about 7 percent below its level at the start of the scoring period and far below its January 2025 record of $73.43. Only around 282 million of one billion tokens are in circulation, so scheduled releases remain a supply factor.
