Korea Fintech Week 2026 (Koscom tokenized securities showcase)
Koscom, a South Korean financial technology company, will showcase its shared tokenized securities platform at Korea Fintech Week 2026 in Seoul from November 25 to 27, 2026. No specific cryptocurrencies are tied to the event, which centers on regulated tokenized securities infrastructure.
What is happening
Korea Fintech Week 2026 is organized by South Korea's Financial Services Commission and takes place at the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul. Koscom plans to present shared infrastructure intended for securities firms preparing to enter the tokenized securities market. According to the company, the platform supports securities issuance, account management and connections between related financial systems.
Koscom has signed memorandums of understanding with 13 securities firms to cooperate on tokenized securities businesses. It has also completed joint development work on issuance infrastructure with LG CNS and carried out testing through the Korea Securities Depository's token securities volume management testbed. At the exhibition, the company intends to present its development experience, testing results and cooperation with participating financial institutions.
Beyond tokenization, Koscom will introduce AI-based financial data analysis services, including K-EFS, a Korean stock prediction score service developed with LG AI Research. It will also offer consultations on financial cloud support programs and the D-Testbed initiative, which supports financial technology testing and development.
Why it matters
South Korea's new tokenized securities framework is scheduled to take effect on February 4, 2027. The Financial Services Commission has proposed amendments to rules governing the issuance and trading of tokenized stocks, bonds, funds and fractional investment products, with public consultation running from October 2 to November 11. The event therefore takes place shortly after the consultation closes, as institutions finalize their preparations.
Several domestic firms are building their own systems, including Hanwha Investment & Securities, KB Securities, Eugene Investment & Securities and Meritz Securities, some with international partners such as Securitize, Ripple, the Optimism Foundation and Avalanche-related infrastructure. A shared platform from Koscom may influence how many securities firms approach market entry. For holders and traders, the event is a signal of institutional and regulatory direction in the Korean tokenization market rather than a token-specific catalyst. Watch for details on the platform's rollout, which firms participate, and any updates on the final rules.
